Monterey, CA — After a difficult outing at Sebring International Raceway, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team is eager to get back on track as the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge heads west for round three of the 2026 season at the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Despite showing promising pace in Florida, an unfortunate race-ending incident cut short what looked to be a strong recovery drive for the #17 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. With valuable lessons learned and confidence continuing to build, the team arrives in California focused on results.

"I’m really looking forward to this event, not only is it always a fantastic area of the country to be racing, but I’m also excited to see some of the hard work the whole team has put in come to fruition." said Mikey Taylor. "Everyone has been working really hard over the break since Sebring to improve our pace and I’m feeling refreshed and ready to go. As always, a massive thanks to all of our partners for the continued support and help in pushing us forward!"

Laguna Seca presents a very different challenge from the opening rounds of the season. Known for its dramatic elevation changes, technical layout, and world-famous Corkscrew, the Monterey circuit demands commitment, and a well-balanced race car.

Now entering the third race weekend of the season, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team continues to build momentum and refine its setup through every session. The team has shown flashes of strong pace early in the season, and with preparation improving, all eyes are set on delivering a breakthrough result on the West Coast.

The green flag drops at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Saturday, May 2nd at 3:45 PM ET. Watch the full race live on Peacock, IMSA.tv, or IMSA’s official YouTube channel.
