With only three races remaining in the 2024 Michelin Pilot Challenge season, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team sets their sights on the Virginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix this weekend. Coming off a strong P4 result at Road America, even with their backs against the wall following on-track, qualifying session incident, the seasoned driver pairing of Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor are excited to hit the ground running once more.
“I’m really excited to get back in the car and back with the team at a track we have fond memories of! It’s no secret the new Balance of Performance we have been given is making the car a lot less competitive compared to our competition but we have the best crew and engineering on our side to make the most of it. I still believe even with the huge handicap we have, we can win this race and continue to work towards our championship goal!” said a pumped up, Mikey Taylor.
CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS
After 7 races in the 2024 season, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Team is still holding on to the top spot of the TCR leaderboard with a 220-point lead over the nearest Hyundai. The team is now looking to bolster this lead even further at the historic, 3.27-mile, 17-turn Virginia International Raceway next.
FIRST PLACE FINISHERS IN 2021 & 2023
Veteran drivers Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor have plenty of experience on their side heading into this weekend’s race. In 2021, the team was able to propel their Gen1 Audi TCR to its second victory of the season at VIR in October. In 2023, the Unitronic JDC Miller Motorsports Team was streaking through the second half of the season as they chased the championship title, fending off attacks from the strong Alfa Romeo Guilietta on their way to another victory at VIR in August.
GMP JOINS THE CHAMPIONSHIP HUNT ONCE MORE
